Organizational Schema (2 of 3)
- The following rules shall be applied during the classification process to define an organizational schema within this International Standard:
a. Each organizational schema shall be identified by a unique organizational schema name.
b. Each organizational schema shall consist of a set containing one or more groups (EDCS Group Code – EGC).
c. Each group shall be designated by a unique (within the scope of the organizational schema) group name.
d. Each group shall have a definition.
e. A group shall be a non-empty set of codes (ECC and/or EAC).
f. The codes in a group shall be called members of the group.
g. A code may be a member of more than one group.
h. Each code in the EDCS shall be a member of at least one group.
i. In general, no further organization shall be required among the groups in an organizational schema. In particular, the groups may or may not form a hierarchy.
Groups do not apply to EEC or EUC.
