Classification Code Assignment

• ECCs and the corresponding classification labels and definitions not defined in this International Standard are reserved for future standardization or for registration.

• ECCs in the range nnnn (fill in largest number used now) to 5 000 are reserved for future standardization.

• ECCs greater than 5 000 are reserved for registration.

• ECCs less than or equal to zero shall not be used.

• Example:

• ANSI C Language Binding:
  • Prefix Label with “EDCS_CC_”
  • E.g., define EDCS_CC_CROPLAND as constant with integer value 1
