Notes:
Clicking “View Links” displays the links defined in the database for condition C 1.2.1.11. Each keyword is linked to DDDS terms. For example, the above keyword is linked to two JMCDM attributes. However, a keyword can also be linked to other keywords, such as this UJTL keyword being linked to a GCMD keyword.
The linking of keyword to keyword can be used as an intermediate step in the linking process. For example, rather than search the DDDS for the appropriate terms when linking the ADS taxonomy (a potentially laborious project), I started by linking it to the GCMD, which is easier to navigate.
Also, it can be used as a guide in refining requirements. For example, one may use the UJTL to initially describe a task requiring environmental data. As the project progresses, the search parameters could be refined by using the GCMD, which is more detailed and focussed on the environment. For this reason, the UJTL keywords have been linked to the GCMD where appropriate.
