The Problem Statement

• While SEDRIS is good at representing data we can’t use the same technologies to define the requirements for the data we can represent with it.

  • The DRM, EDCS, SRM doesn’t allow users to specify whether or not the content of a transmittal meets a user’s expectations, whether it is fit for the use of a given application.

• Without this it can be problematic to consume SEDRIS data due to differences in the expectations of the data content.
