Enumeration Codes (EEC)
- A set of nominal, ordinal or partitioned values. ({short | medium | tall}, ...)
- Used to specify the values of enumerated attributes
Unit Codes (EUC)
- A precisely specified quantity in terms of which the magnitudes of other quantities of the same kind can be stated. (metre, pascal, …)
- Used to specify the values of numeric attributes
Group Codes (EGC)
- Groups compose organizational schemas and serve as an aid to users by identifying ECCs and EACs that may be related, and relevant, to their domain of interest. (agricultural, cadastral, …)
Note: “E” in acronym is for “EDCS”, not “Environmental”!
