SI Supplementary Units

• There are two units in this class:
  • the radian, symbol rad, the SI unit of the quantity plane angle
  • the steradian, symbol sr, the SI unit of the quantity solid angle

• These units are now interpreted as so-called dimensionless derived units, and they may be used in expressions for SI derived units.

• In the SDCS we continue to refer to these as SI supplementary units.
