Resolves links to DDDS (and traces back to source)
Notes:
Clicking “DDDS List” starts a function that creates a list of DDDS terms. This is the same output that would be returned by a query on the database by MEL.
The DDDS link function goes a step beyond looking at the links stored in the LINK table (the “View Links” functionality we saw earlier). It first collects all direct DDDS links (of which we saw two). It then takes all non-DDDS links (the one GCMD keyword) to see the DDDS terms to which they are linked. The GCMD keyword is linked to five DDDS terms, including the two already collected, so we get a total of five unique links to the DDDS.
This expansion of the non-DDDS keywords is most important for keywords not linked directly to the DDDS. For example, many terms in the ADS taxonomy are not linked to any DDDS keywords right now. Expansion of the links to the GCMD is the only way to output DDDS terms.
A trace of the links back to the keywords to which they are directly linked is available. For example, the second link is tied to both the UJTL condition and to the linked GCMD keyword.
