TNO-FEL

TNO Physics and Electronics Laboratory (TNO-FEL) is part of the Netherlands Organisation of Applied Scientific Research (TNO) - the independent knowledge organisation that builds a bridge between fundamental know-how and the everyday practices of government authorities and the business community.

Whether it involves the Ministry of Defence, Public Safety, ICT, Transport and Logistics, Aerospace or Electronic Systems - all TNO-FEL's products and services - provided by 550 highly educated professionals - are leading edge.

TNO-FEL invests a quarter of its annual turnover of EUR 55 million in the accumulation of know-how. Its solid knowledge basis, together with its multidisciplinary collaboration with 5,000 colleagues in other TNO institutes as well as representation in many national and international knowledge networks, enables TNO-FEL to go beyond state-of-the-art solutions.

TNO-FEL envisages a strategic relationship with government authorities and the business community. The institute's products and services cover the entire societal 'information chain': from the collection of information (image, audio and data), through the transportation and processing of information, to its use and security.

Within the operations of TNO-FEL four main technology fields can be distinguished:

These main fields are addressed by the research departments with the same name.
