TerraSim

TerraSim, Inc. has been a SEDRIS Associate since February 1999.

Their corporate commitment to a full SEDRIS output capability has been evident for all versions of TerraTools 1.2 and above. Their SEDRIS Mapping Document for TerraSim's Tiled Scene Graph (TSG) database format has been continously updated to support modifications to TSG and their impact on SEDRIS transmittals produced by TerraTools. This document is provided to customers purchasing their SEDRIS Export Plug-in, which is currently available for TerraTools 2.0 and higher. The SEDRIS export has been available since SEDRIS version 2.5.0 and is currently available for SEDRIS version 3.0.2.

TerraTools' Tiled Scene Graph (TSG) database format is converted to a SEDRIS transmittal, following their mapping document, based upon the SEDRIS Write API. In TerraTools 2.0, the SEDRIS process node has been upgraded to ingest STF (SEDRIS Transmittal Format) databases, including reusable model libraries. Defaults for ECCs and EACs are provided for a large number of common cartographic features and source data files including those produced by the United States Geological Survey (USGS) and the National Geospatial Intelligence Agency (NGA). TerraTools users can build their own custom feature mappings using the TerraTools Appearance Editor, TAEdit.

TerraTools is available for Windows NT/2000/XP and SGI IRIX workstations, and has been used in the fully automated construction of dense urban environments as well as simulation databases for military exercises covering hundreds of thousands of square kilometers.
